Help got an old 15" ast monitor that the on/off button has gone out on it. When you push it in it does not stay on, but if you hold it in the monitor comes on. It pops back out, does anyone know where I could buy another switch, or have any idea on sites that sell replacement parts. Tried with good ole Radio shack and the guy looked at me like I was crazy. I don't think he even new any thing about electronics!

An exact switch replacement will be difficult to find, and you are right about Radio Shack *Cough* Salesman *Cough*. Your best bet would be to find out if it is a 2or 4 or even 6 lead switch and buy an Equivalent switch of the same Amperage and modify the monitor housing if you are not to concerned with the way it looks, Other wise check out your local Comp store and see if they have any junk monitors. You may get lucky and find one that is a match.I Used to work on VCR and T.V. and used to scrounge parts off duds all the time.
