TheMinister July 1st, 2001, 04:28 PM didn;t you have 15 posts the other day? And yes I like it. MacGyver July 1st, 2001, 04:39 PM If you're going to purchase a 19" monitor, make sure it's got a low dot pitch or you'll get an awful picture at 1280x1024. If you can, see it in action before you fork over the dough. tyremanb July 1st, 2001, 04:54 PM tnx for the advice macgyver. btw, wot wud u consider a "low" dot pitch? these are both 0.26, but i think that iiayama does a 0.24. would i notice the difference? MacGyver July 1st, 2001, 05:01 PM It doesn't sound like much, but yes, it would make a difference. The dot pitch is the size of the pixels. At a certain resolution, the pixels get too close together and they "blur". This is a problem with my Viewsonic 19" at work. I can't run it at 1280X1024 because everything is blurry. But 1152x864 looks fabulous. I think it has a .26 dot pitch. If you have a choice, go with the Iiyama. They have been making high end CAD monitors for years. LG is lower end. DANIMAL July 1st, 2001, 05:02 PM I'd stay at .25 dpi and lower now a days. LG sounds like a good idea. windrivers.com
