I would have to say, no.

The ASUS V7100 is a MX nVidia card. The GTS is more powerful than the MX. The MX would keep you going for a little bit and does not costs as much, but if you want a really good card for games now a days get a nVidia GeForce2 GTS. Specifically, the ASUS V7700. You can get either 32mb ram or 64mb ram. The 64mb ram will cost you more, but will ensure you can play games for a long time with out any problems.

There are options open as well. If money is not a concern than I would highly recommend a GeForce3 or a GeForce2 Ultra. Both are excellent cards, but the GeForce3 is naturally the leader.

Ok..............................
how much difference is there between the Geforce 2 Ultra and a Geforce 3?

Is there a point of buying the Geforce 3?
I know it is def. it better..... but is it worth the price increase?

I can easily o/c a Geforce 2 Ultra and get an x-cellent framerate that will better that of the Geforce 3's framerate +speed!

What do you say?

The GeForce3 is the type of card you would want to get if you played all your games in 32bit color, high settings, and FSAA. It has a ton of cool features that games will soon be supporting, but currently no games use the new features.

Obviously, the GeForce3 is more powerful than the GeForce2 Ultra, but the Ultra is still an excellent card.

The price on the GeForce3 has already drop a lot and it probably will again, but the question is when. If you really need a new card now than there is nothing you can do.
