my nec 4080h laptop only sees 256 colors is their a way to bump this up.

what is your graphics card? also, what does it say it is in the device manager list?

it reads chips and tech accelerator

have u tried to reinstall the drivers off the cd u got with ure laptop?

I bought the laptop second hand with 95 already installed.it does not have a cd rom
installed.

i would try to download the some drivers off the nec website, if i were you.

try looking here: http://support.neccomp.com/kbtools/drivers/neccsddrivers.asp for them.
