For months now my monitor hasn't been turning on with the computer if it's left off to long. If you turn the computer off and fire it back up within 30 minutes, the monitor comes on as it's starting to go through the bios like it's suppose to. If it's any longer than that, the monitor doesn't come on and I have to turn the computer back off and try again which ends up taking at least 10 trys before it finally comes on and of course there's errors from there because it didn't finish loading on it's previous attempt. I hooked up my monitor to another computer and it fired up fine so I know now it's not my monitor. Any suggestions on what could be causing this? I've looked around everywhere and I can't find anything on reasons as to what's causing this and how to fix it. My computer runs non stop now because it's such a pain in the butt to get the monitor turned on. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I would update the bios of your video card if possible. Re-Slot it on your motherboard if it's PCI. And reset bios to defaults (maybe even flash your bios).

Have you tried replacing the battery on the motherboard? I had this same problem with a PC a while ago and it turned out to be just the fact that the bios was loosing track of its settings. Just a suggestion
