It is a generic board with no fcc number. It has a fan on the chip, which I took off and it says Nvidia tnt. Tried it on three machines and there always seems to be a conflict with an i/o address. tried win95 and win98. tried detonator3 drivers. tried assigning irq to vga. Is there something about these boards i am missing? It has run even with the i/o problem, but crashes on windows 3d wallpaper. tried it in ALI, Via chipsets.

No Techs, you're not missing anything!
You've done everything correctly. Probably, you're dealing with a faulty part.
Good luck.
