I've been trying to setup a dual monitor scheme under WIN98 on an Abit BH6 using a Diamond Viper V770 Ultra AGP as the primary and a Diamond Stealth III S540 PCI as the secondary.
I use a 17" IBM G70 at 800x600 for the primary display on the Viper and a generic 14" at 640x480 on the Stealth.
Everything seems fine until the first time I reboot. The Stealth/14" comes up OK, but the Viper/17" goes totally out of sync and becomes unreadable once it hits the desktop at 800x600. Since I can't make any sytem adjustments in this situation I reboot to Safe Mode. At this point the display properties list the Stealth drivers as running my Viper/17" combo. I have tried switching the drivers back several times but the whole problem repeats itself as soon as I set the primary display to 800x600 and reboot. (If I leave the Viper/17" at 640x480 everything is kosher after a reboot.)
One oddity I noticed is that the Stealth is listed ABOVE the Viper in the Device Manager.
Trying to change this does no good, they always end up that way after I refresh the driver listings.
I have the AGP listed as primary in the BIOS and the videocards post in the correct order (AGP first, then PCI)
Has anyone successfully set this combination up or have any suggestions?

OK, I fixed the problem...
I got curious about the BH6 being the culprit, and sure enough...A simple BIOS flash allowed me to force the AGP slot as the primary display.
Works just fine now. http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smile.gif
