I bought an I/O Magic 3Dpe card for a fairly old system (Dell P75, but now has an Evergreen 400 MHz MMX upgrade). The video card says it needs a PCI v2.1 bus, but I only have v2.0 on my motherboard. When I tried to install the card my system refuses to boot normally (Win95), instead booting only to safe mode with a message that I have a display problem. Nothing I've tried works. Is this because I have an outdated bus? If so, I'll look for cards that will accept v2.0 or v2.1 slots (there are a few, and my display requirements aren't large). Thanks!
