Hello,
Looking for some help
I've been to many forums looking for advise on how to fix this problem I'am having. I cant get anything to work.
First time to post Here it goes:
While playing counter strike I freeze up and get the repedative sound in the game that doesn't stop. Hitting con, alt, del 3 or 4 times reboots the system, the close window does not appear. If I wait about 2 minutes then a screen comes up saying Warning! system is unstable, press any key to continue waiting ? It only happens while playing CS. It doesn't happen while on the web or any other time only when gaming. I went and installed the new nvidia drivers, updated my creative labs sound blaster drivers, switched out mem. sticks, reinstalled windows 98, cleaned up registry with some program, I'm not overheating, not O/C on vid card or processor checked that, reinstalled CS about 3 months ago. I can normally play for about 20 to 30 minutes and then wham death strikes and I beat my desk and scream. Also turned off all programs running in startup. Looking at the vid card in settings says its running in 2x not 4x ?
I use open GL while playing. Anything else you need to know I'll be glad to post it.

Thanks in advance

For a start, a 300W power supply would do you a lot better.

Motherboard information is important in this case, if you have a VIA chipset you gotta gotta GOTTA get the Via4in1 drivers or you'll have no end of trouble. In general, any of the more recent generation of motherboards (PIII, P4, Athlon) HAVE to have their special drivers installed for maximum performance/stability.

Also, I'm led to understand that earlier versions of nVidia's Detonator drivers work better with the TNT2. Later versions focus more on the GeForce cards.

Hope I've been of help to you. http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum1/noncgi/cwmsmilies/cwm16.gif

G'day,

I bought a Asmart GeForce2 MX400 64 the other day, and when i run games such as Operation Flashpoint it will have lots of Graphic Glitches and also little white spots on the ground...

Also in F1 Racing Championship, most of the time while playing it, the game will just freeze...

Wondering if anyone could help me :-)

Thanks, Please Reply!
