About two months ago, I bought an "Xtasy 5332" 2D/3D accelerator (also known as an nVidia GeForce 2 MX200).
When I installed it, I got a "Vsync" error. I figured it was the lame-*** compaq 15" monitor that was the problem. So, I pulled it out, and plugged the video cable back into the motherboard. When that monitor subsequently **** the bed a few weeks later, I went out to Staples, and bought an Envision 17" flatscreen - but I made sure i check the sync rates first, and it supports and surpasses all the requirements by the card. Well, I brought the monitor home, installed the card again, and got the SAME DAMN ERROR.
I talked to a friend of mine that works in tech support for an ISP, and he mentioned turning off Vsync - does anyone know how this is done on a compaq 5441? I think it's in the Bios, but I don't know how to get into that on this system.
Help!
