hey i replaced all my dads computer stuff new motherboard mem video card also and formatted .. i cant get SVGA on i can only get 16 bit color and it looks like **** .. how can i get atleast 24 or true color ??? i installed a 16 mb video card... HELP PLEASE my dad wont leave me the hell alone !!! i;m pulling my hair out

You did not mention if you had installed the correct drivers for your card. Find the most recent drivers for this card and install them if you can.
Please specify the OS of this system and brand/model of the video card so we can help you better.
A 16Mb video card should render 32bit (True color) without difficulty at 1024 x 768.

make shure also that you have the monitor corectly configured, older monitors got a little flakey when pushed to high color, ive seen a few older s3 just p off older 13 inch monitors, till they looked blury, also try installing a few different monitors untill you get one that works or see if a monitor driver is available for youre monitor, as well as check refresh rate settings, thanxz im off the box/////
