GL with matrox millenium G400 in win2000?

hey, is anyone having problems with GL in win2000?

when i try running a game that uses gl.. or even try previewing a GL based screensaver, my computer freezes and it needs a reset

is anyone else experiencing this? and also, how would i go about fixing this problem?

i have dx8.0 installed, along with the latest g400 drivers

Give us a description of your system, make, speed, memory. But you could also try getting rid of DX8 and going with DX7. I've heard of a lot of problems with DX8 & G400. You may also want to install the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard, and the latest service pack for W2K after you've installed all the other stuff.

is it 8.. or 8a?? if its not 8a, get it. or even drop a version to 7.

Go to Matrox's site at www.matrox.com (http://www.matrox.com) and download the driver UNINSTALL utility. This will completely remove all traces of the old drivers so you can install the new ones from square one!
