Voodoo 4, SB Live Value, and Direct X 8.0

Short and sweet...anyone know where I can find drivers for a voodoo 4 and sb live value that are truly direct x 8 compatible? I went to the 3dfx website and downloaded their "compatible" drivers, yet direct x 8 shows "uncertified driver" for both of these cards...? (Yes I got my sb live drivers from creative labs' website...same story...) Thanx in advance for the help. :confused:

By the way, every time I play Need for Speed High Stakes or Diablo II, my computer completely freezes requiring a reboot, I'm figuring the drivers are the reason. Thanx again. :confused:

Don't know if this will help but i have noticed and heard of some programs that act quirky with dx8.....do your apps need it to function? if they don't uninstall dx8

You are asking the same question as I did below and after a bit of research I have found out even though the drivers dont show as recognised they actually are. (Well I hope so :p )
