Can the Spec Ops PC game series run with Nvidia TNT2 cards??? I know they are 3Dfx supported so when I install there are all sorts of odd requirements and then when I play it looks like a blizzard (b/w and fuzzy)

First, why would yo uplay that crap of a game?? Check out Red Storm's Rainbow Six, Eagle Watch, Rogue Spear, Urban Operations, and Covert Ops. Infinatly better games, plus multiplayer is right out of the box.

Anyway, on to your problem. Spec Ops was specificly made to play on either Glide, which is 3dfx proprietary, or GL. I had the original Voodoo and Glide ran pretty smooth and GL ran pretty bad. I don't think there was a D3D version. Make sure you are using the latest Detonator drivers and have some sort of miniGL driver. Like I said it's been awhile and if I remember correctly for certain games you needed a gl driver patch.

If you absolutly must play this poor excuse for a game, then I suggest picking up a Voodoo2 or Banshee card..Otherwise go get Rainbow Six/Rogue Spear.

I ran into the same problem, lucky for me my copy came free with a NIC. One of the things i tried was a beta version of GLsetup or something which royally screwed my puter up. My advice is the same as lycia: get Rainbow six and use Spec Ops cd as a coaster for your beer :D (i'm always a little suspicious when somethin is included for free that normally retails for $30)

Hehehe. I already have all the Rainbox Six's including most mods! I tried out Spec Ops on a whim. I saw it, it looked semi-cool so I bought the entire series. I thinking big mistake. Thanks for the help guys. I can't wait until Operation Flashpoint is out!
