I take you got the latest driver from NEC's support website. (http://support.neccsdeast.com/kbtools/drivers/Drivers.asp)

There is a driver specifically for Versa LXi S3 Savage MX Driver ver. 5.12.01.7009-7.30.38 for Windows 2000. Is this the one you're trying to use?

You might also try checking out their website for your NEC notebook. (http://support.neccsdeast.com/Notebook/PentiumII/VersaLXi/versalximan.ASP) Lots of good info there concerning Win2000 upgrades, User Guides, release notes, etc.

Anyway, Good Luck!
