Green Line

I worked on a computer that was getting a green line on the monitor and the mouse icon would change to a black block. I changed the video card out with another one and it is still having the same problem. Any ideas?

What motherboard?
Is it AGP or PCI?

I have loads of ideas, but need more info to be able to focus them!

PS if its via and agp - you want the via agp driver!

It was agp but I changed it to a pci video card by cirrus logic and windows had the drivers and loaded them.
