I've recently purchased a USB mouse. (Logitech optical) I'd like to disable my PS/2 mouse port now to free up IRQ 12. I've disabled PS/2 mouse support on my ASUS K7M motherboard BIOS. However, Win98 keeps autodetecting and re-installing the port on boot. (i.e. it doesn't help to remove the port from Device Manager...it will just be PnP'ed back on.)
Any ideas?! http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smilies/cwm44.gif

I just got the same mouse http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smile.gif I will never go back to a regular one!
After removing the PS/2 it kept being detected on startup.
To fix this, under device manager I just disabled the PS/2 mouse port in this hardware profile.
No more old mouse.

(PS if there is a better way to do this I would like to know too!)
