It regularly happens that after exiting Internet Explorer 5.5 crashes (using Windows98 SE). The error message shows:
IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff87ede.

The messagebox cannot be closed and Windows will not shut down properly.
Any ideas / suggestions?

If I remember correctly, there is a fix for this on the M$ Knowledge Base. Failing this,try uninstalling IE5.5 and reinstall it.

go to http://www.98lite.net download and use IEradicate. then re-install it from scratch and it works better than ever.

deleting the password list seems to work
