I was told one time about a utility, for Win95, that serves the same purpose as msconfig in Win98. Are any of you familiar with such a thing and if so can you direct me to a download site?

GirlGeek April 5th, 2001, 03:16 PM Startup Cop, check out tucows (http://www.tucows.com) and do a search for Startup Cop. If you can't find it, email me as I have it somewhere in my bag of tricks and can send it to you. GG Larommi April 5th, 2001, 10:04 PM Msconfig will work on 95osr2. Just do a search for it on a 98 machine and copy it to a floppy. *note* you should copy it onto the 95 machine for it will search the floppy if you run it from there. 3fingersalute April 5th, 2001, 10:48 PM Interesting larommi!!!!!!!! SubZero April 5th, 2001, 10:49 PM I never used msconfig. I never knew that MS put that in 98. I just enjoy going into DOS and manually editing the files. But that's just me :) DharmaLion April 6th, 2001, 10:32 AM tweakui has some nice features as well Rellik April 6th, 2001, 05:23 PM the good thing abouy MSConfig is that it shows all of the startup programs in all three places: WIN.INI the start menu and the registry Kenteth420 April 7th, 2001, 01:56 AM Interesting, I guess I should've known since people use it on win 2k. Gonna have to test this out. windrivers.com
