sysedit & msconfig

In win98 msconfig is used to edit your start up (one way).In win95 is sysedit the equilivent to this program? Just curious as in diag'ing systems is a little easier in 98.

Sysedit is in Win98 too. Win95 doesn't have msconfig, just use regedit to kill stuff (with the customary warning about backing up FIRST!). Alternatively, export copies of reg keys before changing anything so you can import them back if needed. I thought msconfig was one of the biggest improvements over 95.

u can use msconfig in w95, by copying the app to the w95 'puter.

Sysedit is still in WIN98, but Sysedit only opens autoexec.bat, config.sys, win,ini and system.ini....it does not touch the registry!

I like using msconfig on my 95 machines also, as mentioned above!
