How do I locate the file thats looking for the vredir.vxd & dfs.vxd files at the windows boot-up. These files were associated with America online. I've deleted AOL, But I'm still getting an error message at the systems initiation

i've run into this unintslling norton av and having kids delete the novell client on some machines at school.I had to use the uninstall for both in order to get rid of them. You may try loading aol and using its own uninstall. or you could do the ol' trial and error....rename the extensions for the vxds in question and then reboot...see what happens. if you backup your registry first,you could do a find search for *.vxd....one of the keys may tell you the specific program they are related to.
