fonts change when start win

I set my fonts for window to "tahoma" in the appearance screen. I choose the font size for each section (menu, icon etc). When I start my computer, windows displays a different font. What can I do to save my changes, I do press "apply" it works for that session, but doesn't stay that way.

What font is it setting it as when you start up the computer again? Sounds like it's just a problem with tahoma..have you tried setting it to anohter font and restarting?
