Have a machine in which someone had two modems and was trying to use multiplexing(though they only had one phone line available so it was a non starter) however on every boot up the ISDN connection wizard starts. Can't find it at all, thought it would be a run/runonce in the registry, tried deleting all dialups, removing re-installing DUN and removed/added all network items, no joy.
Clues?(or the reg key please) <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I couldn't find anything in the MSKB, but I remember having a similar problem a while back. Every time I went to Dial-Up Networking, the wizard would pop up. I eventually got it to go away by going through the wizard and setting up a dummy connection. Then the wizard went away and I was free to delete the dummy connection.
Also check in Add/Remove programs > Windows Setup for anything relating to ISDN...

I'm getting the message that No ISDN devices are installed so the wizard won't run. So how am I gonna fool it, can't just add one in device manager as I can't find a device like that.

I just had the exact same thing the other day on a computer that was brought into the shop, Here is what I did and it went away, I unchecked a few things in msconfig (dont remember exactly what), I also repaired 3 windows files that were in there Norton Quarantine, wish I could remember the 3 file names, I do know one was hc.exe (I believe anyway), sorry I couldnt be of more help but maybe this will lead you in the right direction.

Ah well, I'll answer my own question then. Windows runs this all the time, and I never knew, it being part of the usual plug and pray routine that fires everytime windows starts. The problem is that windows uses the list from safe mode, so every driver device installed since year dot whether actually there or not will come into play, so the answer is to delete all un-necessary devices whilst in safe mode and hey presto all is well.
