I've just put a 20gb HD into my PC and have made my old 1.2gb the slave, what I want to do is run a program off the old drive, I thought I saw a program sometime which moved programs across disks, or could I copy the folder, then move the dll's to the windows system folder or could I create a new partition on C: and copy all the files to the new partition as a separate bootable partition.???

I would move the folder over, copy dll's over (not overwriting) and also look through the registry on the old hd, and export any keys pertaining to that software to a file, than import them into the new registry....it may work and it may not!!!

If you own it, you should have the orignal disk(s) to re-install it!

You may want to invest in Partition Magic as it comes packed with Magic Mover. I keep a copy in my Geek Bag and use it at least once a week

Try Change of Address (ftp://ftp.zdnet.com/pcmag/1997/0107/coa32.zip). It's a shareware app prepared by ZDNet that I've used many times. I carry it with me with my other tools and utilities.
