Well, first of all you need to get a program that zips the files up. As far as explaining to you step by step that maybe be a little hard b/c there are so many different programs, some are GUI interfaced and some you use switches from a command prompt.. Best thing to do is just download a program and it will usually have some FAQs that comes with it that will explain how to this.

If you have unzipped files in the past, WinZip is most probably present on your system already.

Easiest solution:

1. Highlight the file(s) you want to zip (compress).
2. Right-click and choose "Add to Zip file" or "Add to ABC.zip",
where ABC is the suggested default name of the zipped file.
3. Specify where you want it sent and which compression options you prefer.

That's about it.

If you need details, use the included help in WinZip or post here.

zipped files are by default stored in the winzip folder. Check it in Find Files

Right click on the files and click add to zip. Under archives click new and you can store the files your trying to zip directly to a floppy drive or anywhere else you desire as long as you also give it a name *IE* A:\my_zip_files as an example. Hope this'll help you... :)

You seem to be fairly new to the computer scene, and that's okay - we've all been there. :D

Take it slow, read all you can in the help section of Winzip and then come back to ask for more help if you need it.
