Windows 95 Profiles

I'm attempting to set up a machine for internet use by the public but I want to severely limit the sites (servers) that it can hit. I've tried playing with TCP/IP and proxy settings, no luck. I'm considering using a profile to lock down the PC or maybe a software package like site kiosk.

Any suggestions?

depending on how 'severely' you want to restrict the site access, you may want to consider making the 'wanted sites' available offline.

Personally I would use windows 2000, or NT 4.0. Its harder for users to mess with it and the internet. I use 2000 on my work puter and set guest mode and then my and mangers mode. Since then ive had no problems or people messing with/looking at things they shouldnt be

With IE you can set up the content section to only be allowed to visit certain sites unless you have a password. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if Netscape had the same solution.
