Ok, got a customer who has an AMD Athlon 600, with 256 MB SDRAM (2 x 128). I've done a fresh re-install of Windows 98, but for some wierd reason, when she uses IE5 to connect to the net through @Home, she gets all these 'Out Of Memory' error messages. According to her, Netscape works fine, but she doesn't like it. I was wondering if anyone knew of something like this. I'm thinking it's with @Home, or maybe IE5...what you think? Thanx a bunch...

the first thing that comes to mind is swap file...but i remember reading something somewhere about an issue with 256megs installed...how is it with only 128 installed? well, you could try manually setting the virtual memory size but if you just fresh installed win98 I'm not sure if thats the problem...I'd say pull a stick of ram and try it....I'm really kinda curious how this works out for you

I might be in left feild here, But I have a customer that has had the same problem! She also uses @home. The 2 things that I had her to do was one switch servers, 2 shut down all the programs that she had running in the background while she was connected to the internet! I do know that one reason that this lady of yours does not have the problem with NetScape, is cause Netscape doesn't support all of the imaging like IE5 does, on web sites.
we have a computer that has a gig cpu, and ½ a gig of memory in it! and while printing a photo it was giving us the out of memory message. Well I hope that this may help you.
