Loadwc caused an invalid page fault in module SHLWAPI.dll.. etc. HELP!

this occurs on bootup. im using Win95B. i havent really noticed any difference, except it seems notepad and other progs wont let me open files that arent associated with it, even if i choose all files. If a double click on loadwc.exe again, it seems to be okay, but then about half a minute later it gives me this error again. any ideas?

It appears from what I can find on the Internet that at least a file or two of your Internet Explorer are corrupt or are the wrong version - did you upgrade IE recently, or something like that?

describes what LOADWC does - Load WebCheck.

You may want to try repairing your version of Internet Explorer - I forget exactly how to do that. Possibly under Add/Remove programs? Or, rerun IE Setup?

Depending on your IE installation, you may also try extracting the correct version of SHLWAPI.DLL and replace it with the current version and see if that solves your problem.
