I was wondering if anyone out there knows how to change the windows splash screen at boot-up time. I would like to change it to some other picture, but I don't know whether it is a DOS thing or a Windows Registry Key. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

It's called logo.sys and it's somewhere on your hard drive.
Get any one you like from www.freethemes.com (http://www.freethemes.com) and change it.
They also have instructions to make your own.

Logo.sys is in the root directory of c: and is a 320x400 bitmap image. If you simply rename the file to logo.bmp you can view and edit it in any image editor, even Paint. When you are done editing, just save it back into the root directory as a bmp, then rename it back to 'logo.sys'.
