Does this work the same for W98se? Looked for the files you referred to after reading these posts & can't locate the logo.sys file.
Found the other 2 ok.

Splash screen comes up when windows loads at boot. Is the file lurking somewhere else...or renamed in W98se? Thanks.

I've ran into this on Win98 original so logo.sys must just be hidden. I just copied a new logo.sys file into the root directory and Windows accepted it just fine.
