win95 OEM

upgrading an Acer Aspire. New Mother board, CPU etc...have an OEM Win95 with recover disk and Win98 upgrade CD...how can I get the Win 95 off of recovery disk or the full version of Win98 off the upgrade CD...done all this upgrade and have no OS....help?!

Start up your machine with cd-rom support.
Create a win98 folder and copy the .cab files to it. Run setup and when its askes for previous version verification put the recover cd in and point to it. You should then be able to load windows like usual.


c:\md win98
c:\cd win98
c:\win98\copy x:\win98\*.*

x being the cd-rom drive

run setup from the prompt.
The best part is you do not need the cd to run set up.

if that doesnt work email me and i will tell you where to get a full install 95 oem version not a restore
the version i have is a usb support version as well so it has a few things some of hte restore versions dont
