Greetings all,

i have here a socket 7 mobo running a AMD K6-2 380MHz. The system, when turned on emits a solid beep. There is no video. The drives spool up, but that is as far as it gets.

I have tried:

New power supply, different memory, pulled all cards (except video), replaced video card, different CPU.

There are a very few markings on this board, a quick google search didn't turn up anything useful. Anyway, here are the misc markings on the board:

8GJ03406096
KJ033301BG

on the bottom:

VIC-2 94V-0
20640-001

This system has an Award bios, 3 ISA slots, 4 PCI slots, 1 AGP. it also has 3 dimm slots. Has an ATX ps connector.

Any help would be appreciated, as to what else to try, or where to find info on this board.

Thank you,

Al

Thanks for the site address; looks very handy. Unfortunately, this board did not show up with any of the strings on the board.

any other suggestions?

Al

One long beep is usually video, can't tell whether you had a known good video card in there somewheres...

If You could post the picture of that board,it would be easier task... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
Post here ANY numbers/letter You found printed on PCB.
Little tips - PCParner's motherboards are having digital code printed using VERY SMALL numbers in top left corner (like 35-8862-01), PCChips have printed model (like M748LMRT) also using small symbols, but in right top corner near the keyboard connector.

There are no other markings on this board. There isn't even a label on the outermost slot like most other boards.

There is one label that has this:

206419836202818

But that didn't turn up anything on my search.

Other useful tidbits:

Board has a ALI chipset. Has Ps-2 mouse and keyboard ports, has 2 USB's.

Anyway, I'm still at a loss...

It could be Acorp 5ALi61 or Fordlian motherboard (same model, but another name - AGP-ALI). But those motherboards have 2DIMM,2SIMM slots...

Another way (in case if it is PCchips motherboard)...
There is PCChips lottery, what can help You.
