Im having a problem with my Athlon 700MHZ. Whenever I play Unreal Tournament, The Sims, Unreal, or any kind of game that requires 3d accelerated gameplay, it hangs of freezes. What is the problem here? Is it a hardware conflict? Or is just plain tempurature that not cooling the CPU? If anyone can respond to this message, it would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah, another problem, im getting this fatal error when starting windows 98 SE.

Generally, a VXD error (probably a blue-screen error.... right?) occurs when there is a hardware problem of some sort. It could be many, many things. Start by making sure there are no conflicts of IRQs in the device manager, then check your BIOS settings and make sure they are not causing any problems... if that is a new computer, I would contact AMD or check their website. I have seen VXD errors before on new AMD machines. Do you have a network card? Is your sound/video cards configured correctly? Check for any possible updated drivers for these that may causing your computer to crash in the game. You can also check Unreal's mainsite for troubleshooting tips for your specific machine....

I'd definitely try a fan mounted to your heatsink/video card. believe it or not that could be all it is.
