After installing the Java runtime environment my system had several crashes. When I finally got everthing working back to what seemed normal, the rundll32.exe began showing up in my task list constantly. I don't find any system related problems, but after my system sits idle for a few hours I get a message that reads overflow error rundll32 error"6" After pressing the ok button the the rundll32 is not longer present in the task menu. I have tried when the system boots up to end task, but nothing happens. like I said the system runs fine otherwise, but I would like to eliminte this error if possible.
Any suggestions?? TIA

generally if you are having a problem - go back to the state of which you werent having the problem.
(uninstall the product) if that dont work - then your registry may be hosed. (fix=format)

Well actually I finally fix the problem. It wasn't as easy as going back to what I had before I did that, not registry either checked and re-checked that. Boild down to I ran sfc which found that setupx.dll was bad, by replacing it with one from my original disk the problem went away.
Thanks
