garbage

the icon for my recycle bin always looks full
even through there is noting in it.what can
i do to make it appear empty,which it is.

Try this, right click desktop, go to properties, select effects tab, scroll the top icon box till you see the icon labeled Recycle Bin Empty, click it and hit the button default icon or you can change it to something else at this point.Even if the correct icon seems to be there already in the scroll box, I would change it to something else then then hit the default icon button after that to return it to the correct icon.
