More Ram

I just bought another 128MB stick or ram, and tried to install it with my other 128Mb stick. Same make, speed, ect..

When WIN98SE starts to boot up I get Registry Errors, and it say it going to use the back-up and restart Windows. It's restarts and does over and over. I take one of the sticks out boots up fine. I can use either stick and works fine,but both at the same time restart over & over. Tried going to Safe mode say there is a Error in the HIMEM.SYS and restarts.

Sounds like the 2nd DIMM slot (memory slot) on your motherboard is bad.

I think you maybe right. I moved it to the 3slot and it worked fine so am happy. I don't care if one slot don't work. I don't think I need more then 256mb ram
