Go to http://support.microsoft.com and do a knowledge base search for article Q178084. That should help or at least give you something to try.

Hi techv. I had far too much free time this morning and spent some time seeking an answer for you. I found some additional information related to the mprexe.exe file and I hope some of it ultimately provides a solution.
First, a file with the name mpr.exe (which might be found in the c:\Windows folder) may be an indication of the subseven trojan operating on your system. Please reverify the name of the file in question and the location on the hard drive. mprexe.exe will normally be found in the c:\windows\system directory.
I found this page which seems to offer a lot of possible causes of mprexe.exe errors. Perhaps it will shed some light, albeit indirectly, on the situation you are experiencing. http://www.ohsu.edu/win95/html/mprexe.html
Here are two knowledgebase articles that may be of interest.
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q187/9/65.asp
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q192/2/49.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=Q192249&rnk=1&src=DHCS_MSPSS_gn_SRCH&SPR=MSALL
I also have found some indications that you may experience an mprexe.exe error if your system has bad or insufficient RAM.
That's it for now. Good luck and let us know if anything works for you!
