A sewing machine program? Interesting.

48 MB of RAM in Pentium 200, with Win 95B should be fine. I ran a similiar configuration for years and had no problem with editing images.

I assume the sewing machine program brings up the BMP, right? I mean, you're not in the sewing program then using Paint, correct?

I'd say her program is screwed up. First thing I'd do is ininstall the software and reinstall from disk.

I've seen similiar problems with video cards in on DOS programs. We swapped video cards at the local jail because their new machine locked when it brought up mug shots.
