There is a computer that I work on that has Win98 and I want to Start Menu to look like the one in Win95 (no scrolling, multiple columns instead). How do I do this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I now sub-divide into headings and shove related stuff into them, i.e. GAMES, INTERNET BACKUP APPS MICROSOFT etc works much better and keeps the clutter down IMHO <IMG SRC="smilies/cool.gif" border="0"> furlong47 June 2nd, 2001, 12:45 PM In Regedit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ explorer\ Advanced Select New and then String Value from the Edit menu, and type StartMenuScrollPrograms as the name for the new value. Double-click on the StartMenuScrollPrograms value, and type FALSE as the data for this value. Click OK and exit regedit It should start working right away. If it doesn't, try doing the same thing in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ explorer as well klintman June 4th, 2001, 12:53 PM Thanks. Whenever I install something at home, I make sure that the start menu entries are in a sub-group. But I also have 98Lite at home. This computer as Win98. Thank you for the reg tip. It's exactly what I was looking for. I'll try it out. Thanks again. windrivers.com
