I had a IDE controller(primary and Secondary)that went out on me on a one computer. windows would load then it ASD comes up so I tried to reinstall the drivers. That did not work. So, I took the hard drives out and place them in a new computer and got the same problem?

Have you tried fixing the Master Boot Record? This works sometimes. Use first of the three DOS Disks to boot your PC. Then whilst you are still on A prompt type "fdisk /mbr" (without the inverted commas of course!!!) and press enter. If all is well with your h/drive you should return back to your A prompt. Once this is complete remove the DOS disk from the PC, switch off the PC and start it up again as normal. Good Luck!!!
