help i upgraded my cpu to 98 then it rebooted then frze next i rebooted it then it stood on dos mode and said win.com missing can't load windows what does it mean how can i fix this should i reformat and how? thank you

In order to do that, you need a Win98 Bootable disk. You can download one from here: www.bootdisk.com (http://www.bootdisk.com) Your current installation is faulty somehow. As for the boot disk, if you are using the win98 upgrade, then you would just re-install the first version of windows you had on there, and then install 98. charlescpu June 10th, 2001, 06:39 AM Formating in DOS: When everything's loaded just say "format c:/u" and press enter.
