explorer crashes in explorer

well just done part of a job where explorer crashes on startup even in safe mode. its a Time (GAH!) amd 475, onbaord ATI crap etc, 13 gig drive (very slow and pauses during boot up a lot for about 30 seconds a time)
and 64mb ram (status unknown)
ive deleted windows 98 and left it there to delete overnight...ugh... ill do a frsh install in the morning. whats the most likely cause if the error comes up again?

o yer i start admining a network on monday on a work based training crap.

well, i would say its just windows.. if the reinstall doesn't fix it, look towards memory problems, maybe.

it took 10 hours to delete windows so i just redid the patiton, seems to be faster and ok now.
