I've about had it with Windows98. Recently I installed a Quantum Bigfoot drive. And rather than copy the files from the old hard drive to the new one, I opted just to load the O/S on it. I'm now getting 2 error messages as my machine boots up pertaining to my sound card. The first one is the infamous blue screen initialization error, saying that "CWBAUDIX.386 was unable to locate the windows sound system hardware. Check your software/hardware configuration & restart your computer". I press a key, and the computer continues to boot. Next error is a windows error telling me "CWBAUDIX13.DRV - CWBAUDIX.386 is not present". In spite of these messages, there are no conflicts, and the sound card works just fine. I've removed the driver and reinstalled it. Gone to the manufacturer's website and downloaded (what I believed) a new driver, and loaded it. I still get the same error messages. I didn't get these messages in Windows 95. grrrrrrr!!
