what should we do with the cds ??

I have about 50 blank cds that are screwed up from when i tried to copy them. Are there any cool ideas what i could do with them ?

Go to the craft store and get some cork, cut it to fit the cd, glue it on....voila..coasters.

Make mobiles to hang over baby cribs for friends that have new babies.

I think that's funny, it would probably be best if you had access to a plastic shrinkwrap machine though. When I worked retail we had one and I used it a couple of times.

When we ripped of the magazine covers; there would be aol disks etc inside; these were required to be distroyed; frisbee into the dumpster - concrete wall...some flew real good.

You might get caught retruning them to the store; the media is cheap today, so I might be tempted to ask about recycling them.

A lot of the other ideas are cool otherwise.

A dude in our shop started cracking them into 4-6 pieces, then glueing them to the wall in our back room. He's got like 2/3 of one of the walls done, and it's kind of trippy....but what else you gonna do with all those AOL cd's???

I went through a couple dozen CD's recently trying to work on a bootable CD. Unfortunately, you have to burn the CD before you can find out if it will work right or now, and every time you make a minor little change to the autoexec.bat file, you have to burn a new CD. http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/frown.gif

And since the data on the CD's was somewhat sensitive, I had to find a way to dispose of them other than the trash can. So I glued them together into one long sheet and hung them on the front of my cube. The guy who sits in the cube across from mine thinks it's great, because now he can use the reflection to see whenever anyone is coming. http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smile.gif
