OE password login problem

Hi. I have been having a problem with OE. I was using OE 5 and whenever I
would dial up to my ISP and load OE, it would ask me for my login
properties, needing my password. This is despite the fact that I have
"remember password" checked. It does not remember my password!!

I upgraded yesterday to IE and OE 6 in the hope it would fix the problem,
but I still get the login request. I also looked through the registry to
try to find something related, but could not find anything obvious.

Any ideas?

The problem can occur if the password list file is damaged. Click Start -> Find -> Files or Folders and type in "*.pwl" without quotation. Rename all the PWL files to <filename>.old. Then restart and logon your computer and try again.
