In 98SE; Outlook Xpress was working fine
and a week ago it suddenly stopped dialing
the connection automatically. When I check
"connect automatically" and save, it won't
stay checked and I must connect manually
each time.
Any ideas on how I lost it or how I can
get it back?
Thanx.

Have you changed your network settings lately or changed your Windows password?

Assuming this is OLX 5 or higher.
Go to Tools on the OLX menu and select Options. Then the dialog will popup. Go to the Connections tab and configure your connection there.
reply if probs.

Hi,
Also, make sure that it is set up as your Default Mail Handler by going to Tools/Options/General. Also, from Tools/Options/Connection...click on Change...make sure that "Always Dial My Default Connection" is checked. Then, make sure that your default connection is listed in that table.
Hope this helps you out...Good Luck!

Simple,
Control Panel, Internet Tools, Check the default connecion and click in the box "Always use default connexion". Go on Advanced Parametres and click in the box "Automatic Connexion".
Good Luck!

My Computer-->Control Panel-->Network
Make sure "Client for Microsoft Networks" is installed. If not, add it. After it makes you reboot, you should be able to check the "connect automatically" box and have it stay.
