I have a NT4.0 Network with W95/NT4.0/W2K clients. My Win95 machines (verB) will not allow my users to delete thier own printjobs when they have rights to do it on the server. They can delete thier jobs when on a W2K PC or NT4.0 PC but NOT a WIN95 box...wassup with this. I cannot find anything thru technet or Microsoft website! Any thoughts? PS I have administrator rights & can delete the jobs from a 95 box

Get a clue! Windows 95 is in the past. Have your users upgrade to Windows ME and then get rid of your sorry butt. Remember the fysherman is always right and should be obeyed at all times.

i've run into this problem before, not sure why it happens, but this usually works for me.
instead of deleting the print jobs, "pause" them first, then try to "delete" them.
This may or may not help you,... but it has worked for me... and i'm not really sure why

I Tried pausing then deleting the job but no go. Although the option is there to pause the job it gives me the same error indicating insufficient rights......any more thoughts out are there?
Thanks for the feedback PGA

Do your users have Full Control in the securities Tab? Also, how is the printer being shared? Is it off an NT box, or a Win95 box, or a jetdirect box?

Thanks for the feedback-
The user has FULL control and the printer is shared via internal jetdirect card. (by the the way this will happen when sending to different printers as well)
any other thoughts?

You probably already did this as well, but... You have upgraded the jetdirect's firmware? Also, are you using NT as a server? Peer to peer? Any Novell on the Network? Sorry about all the questions. I had a problem like this once where the user had Novell on his network, and the jetdirect card was not compatible. Worked for some machines. Also, check all your protocol settings.

Also ensure you have the W95 PCs patched up.
PS fysherman, WME is meant for home use, not corporate networking. Get a life.

I had that come up once and what I did was restart computer. Then the computer will give you an option to continue with print, you say no. That will get rid of the print job. now for what caused this, I found that it was a corrupt file that I was trying to print and it was sticking in the spooling process.
