Even with the latest drivers, in a system based on a QDI Advance 9 (chipset via), when I install drivers, system hangs. I tried not installing via drivers with no success. I tried 4.25 with the same result. Agp is setted to 2x, so what could be the problem?

First off, go into your display properties and under the advanced options for your video card, check out what the primary driver is set to. What'll you'll probably see is that it says RAGE FURY MAXX SECONDARY - this is what is causing your problem - or at least part of it. If it doesn't say this then your problem isn't too bad.
Another problem is that VIA has agp 4x drivers out there also - these are required for proper operation under Win ME, I haven't seen this offically anywhere, but I just did a clean install and had to install them. The file you need to find is called agp403.exe - it is a self extracting zip archive. Install it in turbo mode and you should be up and running. Also make sure that you have the latest drivers for Rage maxx installed. If you can't find the file email me at sage19geo@hotmail.com and I'll send you a copy - I can't remember the exact url for the file. If I find it I'll post it here later.

I tried via agp 4.03d with no results. It should be a problem between Qdi and Ati, because I tried a Jetway with the same chipset (via693) and I was able to make it function properly installing via driver on "standard mode" (so with agp 1X).
