I work in a building at a HS where we have internet access that is dependent on running Win2000, but our tech guys are so busy that they dont' have time to install in on most of the computers taht need it. I'm wondering if there is any way to configure/add ISA software to Win98 so that it will connect to the server as 2000 does. (maybe this is a novice question, anything will be helpful) I wouldn't be surprised if there is no way.
Thanks.

All you need for basic Web browsing it to set the proxy settings in Internet Explorer. Right-click on the IE icon and select properties, click on the connections tab then the LAN button at the bottom. Check the proxy server box and fill in the server's name and enter 8080 in the port box.

The user may need to be added to a security group to gain access.

Good luck,

Mike.
