[RESOLVED] Can't download

I have Windows ME.I can no longer download programs with IE 5.5 or Netscape N. Meaning demos,zips but I can get MS upgrades.
My browsers just won't function and Gozilla and Winzip cannot connect.
I do however have StarOffice and have no problem using it to download files etc.
I unzipped SO after this first problem surfaced.
Is there something I need to check or uncheck in order to reenable these functions?
your help would be greatly appreciated.

Not using a firewall???? I have ME a realy poor ISP connection and ME makes it look real fast i can download/upload/sideloadand reload with netscape IE 5.5 and winzip works perfectly well altough i zapped gozilla it got very anoying because my ISP uses a proxy gozilla used to throw evverything out and i had to download it maualy i will check my settings and see if there is anything checked and uncheck that shouldnt

Yes Stupot I have Zonealarm but it is set to allow IE through.
I had other problems when I installed Norton Utilities 2001 and perhaps it is responsible.
